On August 29, Hailiang held a procurement platform cooperation negotiation meeting with JD Industrial Platform to discuss the direction and specific mechanisms for further deepening their collaboration.
Qi Tianyu, Assistant Vice President of Hailiang Group and Assistant Vice President of Hailiang, who is responsible for the supply chain, warmly welcomed the JD Industrial Platform team. He provided a detailed introduction to Hailiang Group's business sectors, Hailiang’s operational development, global strategic layout, and future plans. This included the ongoing digital transformation in the supply chain center and the strategic vision for building a supply chain brain. He expressed his hope that through deeper collaboration, they could assist Hailiang’s Supply Chain Center in enhancing procurement efficiency, reducing procurement costs, and advancing the joint mechanism for digitalization, achieving win-win cooperation.
Chen Esheng, Vice President of JD Industrial and General Manager of the Key Account, introduced the industry advantages of JD Industrial Platform. He stated that JD Industrial consolidates a vast array of products to meet customers' one-stop procurement needs. This is accomplished through the precision alignment of supply and demand using big data, supply chain services, financial services, and enterprise-level operational services. Hailiang, as a core strategic development client for the JD Industrial Platform in the Zhejiang region, will provide support in line with optimal resource standards for supply chain development. They will also design customized solutions and enable end-to-end standardized management.
Qiu Chuangcheng, Director of the Materials Management Department at Hailiang, emphasized the importance of procurement costs and procurement benefits. Lou Yongqiang, Deputy Director of the Materials Management Department, delved into discussions concerning the quality control of procurement operations and its specific requirements. Ms. Zhang Shanshan, Chief of the Procurement Section of the Materials Management Department, engaged in in-depth exchanges with the JD Industrial team regarding brand qualifications, import and export documents, and other related matters. At the end of the meeting, the JD Industrial team expressed their desire to further deepen their cooperation with Hailiang.
