Recently, Ma Tingli, the Deputy Secretary and Deputy Director of the Party Group of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Gansu Provincial, led a delegation to visit Hailiang New Energy Materials and conducted in-depth research on the 150,000-ton high-performance copper foil project. Yang Jianzhong, a member of the Lanzhou Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Lanzhou New Aera, also participated in the research.
Yuan Zhibin, the Deputy Director of the Research Institute in Gansu Hailiang New Energy Materials, provided a detailed report to the research team on the project’s construction progress, innovative research and development achievements, and Hailiang’s corporate culture. In terms of production capacity, the project is capable of producing 62,500 tons of lithium cell copper foil and 15,000 tons of copper foil for electronic circuit. In addition, the overseas copper foil project in Indonesia began construction in June of this year. In terms of research and innovation, Hailiang New Energy Materials has attracted top talents in the industry, including academicians Gan Yong and Wu Feng, forming a research and development team consisting of “academicians, industry experts, and full-time postgraduates”. The team is responsible for research and development in production equipment, product development, process technology, and digital applications. As of now, Hailiang New Energy Materials has doubled its production and sales compared to last year and has become a supplier to major downstream companies. The rapid growth of Hailiang New Energy Materials is attributed to the environment created by Lanzhou New Aera, which emphasizes being business-friendly, supporting businesses, and protecting businesses. In the future, Hailiang New Energy Materials will leverage the advantages of being in the Fortune 500 to fully utilize the resources and industrial advantages to take the lead in promoting steady and high-quality development in Lanzhou New Aera.

Ma Tingli expressed his approval for the achievements made by Hailiang New Energy Materials in terms of construction speed, talent development, and innovative research and development. He emphasized that project construction is the key aspect of development and a crucial indicator of the effectiveness of the business environment and investment attraction. The People’s Congress of Gansu Provincial will leverage its functional advantages to provide better services, focus on more details of the project and address the specific challenges that enterprises face to enable outstanding companies like Hailiang to focus on entrepreneurship and development in Gansu, supporting Gansu Hailiang in reaching new heights.
